Meet Serenity! Serenity came to us as a rescue from a severely neglected situation. When she arrived, she was underweight, heavily matted, and extremely scared of the world around her. With time, patience, and proper rehabilitation, she has made an incredible transformation and has grown into a healthy, sweet, and loving dog who is ready for her forever home.
Training & Background: Serenity started her journey in our service dog program and was introduced to basic obedience, including: Sit Down Stay Recall She has a good foundation and responds well to structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement.
Temperament & Behavior: Serenity is affectionate, gentle, and very loving. She can be nervous when meeting new people for the first time, but once she gets to know them, she forms a very strong bond and becomes incredibly affectionate and devoted. She has come a long way from the fearful dog she once was. While she has gained a great deal of confidence, she can still be nervous in new environments or around unfamiliar things, but continues to improve with patience and positive exposure.
Career Change Info: Serenity was career changed from our service dog program because she remained too nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations for the consistency required in service work.
Why Serenity?: Serenity has overcome an incredibly difficult beginning and deserves a patient family that will continue building her confidence. Once she trusts you, she is deeply loyal, loving, and a wonderful companion who simply wants to be by your side.
