Meet Koda!
Koda is a loving, fun, and resilient boy who came to us as a rescue after being dumped by his previous owner. Despite his past, he has proven to be a happy, people-oriented dog who enjoys both companionship and training.
Training & Skills:
Koda was trained to become a service dog and did very well in the program. He is solid on his basic commands, including:
Sit
Down
Stay
Heel
Recall
He also does well in public access settings, showing confidence and good behavior in different environments.
Temperament & Behavior:
Koda is affectionate, playful, and enjoys being around people. He gets along with most dogs and is generally easy to handle. He is a dog that truly enjoys connection and engagement with his handler.
Career Change Info:
Koda was career changed due to resource guarding tendencies. This behavior has been worked with and is manageable and correctable, but it is important for a future home to be aware of it. He has never bitten a dog or human, but has shown growling in certain situations. Because of this, he was not suitable for our program and he can only go to a experienced home.
Why Koda?
Koda is a wonderful dog with a lot of love to give. He would thrive in a home that understands him, provides structure, and continues to guide him. With the right handler, he will be a loyal, fun, and deeply rewarding companion.
